Earth is the only planet that can support life. , whose natural features have spawned
 many fields of scientific research. It is the third closest planet in the Solar System to 
the Sun, and the rocky landmass is the fifth largest planet overall.

Two major polar regions, two relatively narrow temperate zones, and a wide range
 of climates from the ionosphere to the terrestrial equatorial troposphere are important 
features of the Earth[6].
71 percent of the earth's surface consists of oceans filled with salt water, and the 
rest consists of habitable landmasses such as continents, islands, etc. in the Northern 
Hemisphere.
