The origin of life on Earth is not well understood, but is estimated to have originated 
at least 3.5 billion years ago [57][58][59]. Early Earth's environment significantly during 
the Audian or Archean period
thought to be different from today's environment [60]. Organisms that emerged here had 
basic individual characteristics and self-replicating properties. Once an organism appears, 
natural selection and the process of evolution develop that organism into various life forms.
