A reservoir is a body of water, either natural or man-made. A pond is smaller in size

 than a lake. Gardens include a variety of aesthetically pleasing cut ponds, fish ponds 

designed for commercial fish breeding, and those designed to store thermal energy.

Different types of man-made ponds such as solar ponds. Ponds and lakes are differentiated 

based on the velocity of the currents. Microcurrents are common in ponds and moderate 

currents in lakes.
