Thomas Alva Edison Thomas Alva Edison (Thomas Alva Edison) February 11, 1847 – October 18, 1931. was an American inventor and entrepreneur. He created many devices including light bulb, phonograph, screen camera. He was one of the first inventors to use the principles of mass production, unified large-scale teamwork. In 1880, Edison started a scientific magazine. It was a journal of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in 1900.
